This slideshow is the artifact from the presentation given to faculty on how to use PowerPoint more effectively, including the design of slides and the tools to deliver slideshows. While some of the conversation focused on technical features, the goal of using the Office 365 suite is to improve the teaching and learning process. Please refer to the following resources before using and storing information created by any Office 365 tool or application. In this presentation, I offered up several points on the tools available in the Office 365 suite. Penn State's Policy AD95 establishes guidelines for information classification and handling within the University. You may need to work with Microsoft Office 365 files in Google Workspace or send someone a document you created in Google Workspace as an Office 365. Students with licensed in the Penn State Office 365 should now have the ability to create or help manage Bookings pages. However, there are so many creative ways to utilize old tools in new ways now that we have access to the Office 365 suite. Microsoft has made changes to their licensing model that now makes Bookings available to students. As we look at familiar tools like Microsoft Word or Excel, we may be tempted to assume it’s just Word and that we know what it can do. I have been using Office 365 for five years and helping faculty integrate it into their routines and workflows throughout that time. However, the Forms app is designed to give you a really quick and easy option. Penn State students have access to a variety of Office 365 apps, and you can also create forms in OneDrive, Excel, and OneNote. This page presents and organizes information on Office 365 and its use for the virtual and physical classroom. Forms is a web-only app in Office 365 that you can use to create forms, surveys, and quizzes.
